Ironically, the year 2020 will have no 20-20. And instead of sticking it to their friends in a round of cricket, the kids are stuck to Stick Cricket.

Sports have been disrupted, to say the least, by the coronavirus. The Olympics were postponed, the IPL has been postponed, and the T20 World Cup has been postponed. It’s not looking good for the sports industry, and as the imposed lockdown has kids stuck at home, what’s there to do except video games.

1. PUBG

The formerly humungous rage of a battle game has been rolling out new updates to keep up with the requests of players, and as boredom has a grip on children, more than usual of their time is being spent on gadgets. Heck, how am I writing this?

2. Fortnite

Perhaps it’s the only game that can challenge PUBG to a deathmatch (see what I did there?). It’s simply another battle game, teaming up with other players in real-time, building stockades, sniper tower and whatever else.

3. Clash of Clans

This may not be the biggest game of the decade, but Supercell (the developers) have attained fame with this and four other games, namely, Clash Royale, Boom Beach, Hay Day, and Brawl Stars. Another game that has teaming up with players worldwide, and raiding others with your troops, it’s another app that grabs you with both hands and doesn’t let go.

All in all, video games provide a world excluded from reality, a getaway for some people, an entertainment for others. But although it’s good for some things, it’s really bad in other aspects. addiction to video games is not uncommon, and retinal damage isn’t great either.

Well, that’s my station. Better get off the gadget addiction train. You won’t be able to later.
