A Father’s Love. A Poem
Composed by Ishika Kawatra, a grade 10 student.
They were walking down the street
Hand in hand, feeling the sun’s warm heat
And then they spotted a balloon seller
Who was selling balloons of different shapes and colour

I was walking by the beach
Feeling the warmth of the soft sand
And the warmth of the sunshine
The water glimmering with its rays

This is to the woman,
Who carried me in her womb
And stood by me from dusk till dawn
She is none other than my beautiful mom

Roots are something that remind you of home
It could be your culture , it could be the streets you used to roam
Its not wrong to go with your friends to the mall.
Neither it is to stay in with your grandma and listen to her stories under her pashmina shawl…
Changing destiny is all we ever want,
But it always seems like a taunt.
Impossible is what it seems,
No one ever understood what it means…

Little monsters, here and there,
They’re floating around, everywhere!
Composed by Aaliya Sekhsaria, a 11-year-old student
A blessing from heaven
A gift from the gods
When warriors do see it
They put down their swords

India my nation,
I have a lot of adoration.

My nation is really very big and wide…
