Have you ever just sat and wondered how much tech is helpful in these crucial times? Well, guess what, I have. Now, as you all already know, you are reading this article on a website that is also digital. You may not realise it, but almost everything around us has something or the other to do with tech.
Frankly speaking, I can’t even visualize a world with no internet, phones, laptops, chargers… you get the picture.
Due to this terrible crisis, everything is shut these days. Maximum, a grocery shop would be open. Us kids are not even going to school but, we have online school on our laptops. All my school students and teachers connect, collaborate, exchange ideas, and share files on a digital platform called Microsoft Teams.
Did you know our parents didn’t even have any internet? Although, they did have a landline phone, which was not that great. Try asking your parents about it, or watch an old movie.
You know, the internet helps us a lot, especially these days. Do you want to order groceries? No problem, you can just get any online shopping app like Big Basket, you order whatever you like. And you can even pay digitally on apps like PayTm.
I mean if you ask your grandparents about tech, I bet they’ll say that they didn’t even imagine living in a world like this.
Tech gives a voice to people. The easiest example is my article here.
It helps achieve your goals, whether those are related to work, everyday life, or study. Imagine never going to a library and reading all the interesting material on kindle.
Pitfalls?
But, life in the digital world is not always a cool breeze. One can face several storms such as:
- Choppy internet
- Less social interaction, dependence on online companions
- Hackers
- Data security issues.
So, I really hope you found this article fun and informative. I hope it changed your vision of a screened life.
