NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has taken images of the Natural Systems of Earth. The images were posted on Instagram last month.

The images got 2.1 million likes and thousands of reactions on their Instagram page. The photos were clicked from the vantage point of ISS (International Space Station). With the images, there was a message written – “The land, water, air, and ice are interconnected. No matter whether we are in land or in space, we are unified by this tiny blue planet and that’s something to celebrate.”

The landscapes which NASA covered in the images are:

1. Bombetoka Bay:

The first picture clicked was Bombetoka Bay. This bay is present in Madagascar. The salty water of Mozambique island and the freshwater of Betsiboka Island joins here. The water here is sapphire pink colour mixed with pink. The sediments are thick and dense vegetation adds a rich green pigment to the landscape.

2. Richat Structure :

The second picture clicked was the Richat Structure. It is present in the African Country of Mauritania. It is the geological formation of the Maur Adar desert. This geological formation was formed when a volcanic eruption happened and the explosion exposed onion-like layer on the rocks.

3. Everglades :

The third picture clicked was the Everglades National Park present in South Florida. This national park is not having an ordinary area of protection. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is also an international biosphere reserve and wetland of international importance.

4. Frozen wild Dnieper River:

The fourth picture clicked was the Dnieper River, which is frozen. The river is present in Europe. A blog of NASA tells that NASA has taken the help of the European Space Agency to take this picture. Thomas Pesquet clicked this picture on February 19th, 2017. The photo had a quote called “The winter landscape is also magical from the ISS. This river reminds me of a Hokusai painting.”

5. Blue dunes on Mars:

The fifth picture clicked is Blue dunes on Mars. The picture was clicked by the US Space agency. This picture covers a large area of Texas.

Everyone will have an interest in taking such pictures. The way for it is only a 3-letter word – TRY.
