Have you heard about the super moon? This is going to take place on the 8th of April. Do you know what’s it is?

A super moon is a full moon or a new moon that nearly coincides with perigee. Perigee is the point in the orbit of the moon or a satellite at which it is nearest to the earth – which is 356,907 kilometers! The technical name given to it was perigee syzygy.

April’s full moon is called super pink moon which is a name given by the North Americans. This is because the rise of this moon is at the same time as the springtime blooms of the moss pink. The point called perigee occurs and at that time the moon can be around 14% bigger in apparent size than usual. A super moon compared to the average moon is 14 percent larger but 30 percent brighter.
