You probably know that Guru Nanak Dev Ji founded the religion Sikhism. You might also know that this year we celebrate 550 years of his birth!!
It is a very holy day for all Sikhs on Guru Nanak Jayanti. But, what does that have to do with the Kartarpur corridor? How is it related to him? Where is it located? There must be so many questions on your mind. Well, here come the answers.

Kartarpur corridor is a place located in, what is currently, Pakistan, and used to be Punjab before the partition. It is situated on the banks of the river Ravi. For Sikhs this is a very holy place as that is where Sikhism was first founded by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In the Kartarpur there is a Gurudwara called the Darbar Sahib which is also known as the Katarpur Sahib. This is where the pilgrims pray.
