The world for many is overrated, overpopulated, and overpriced. The world is filling up with newborn people every day and overpopulation is a major concern. But people like Elon Musk have already started planning and creating solutions for the betterment of human civilization.
Who is Elon Musk?
Elon Musk, born in 1971, dreamed of humans going to Mars and other planets from childhood. Now, as an adult, he is finally making his dream come true.
By profession, Musk is an industrial designer, but he is today’s one of the most famous entrepreneurs (people who start their own businesses). He is a citizen of the United States as well as of South Africa, the United States, and Canada.
What he is most famous for is his role as the founder and CEO of SpaceX and also as the co-founder and CEO of Tesla. He has been called one of the most powerful people in the world!
SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies) is an aerospace manufacturing and space transportation company that has developed many launch vehicles, and the Dragon spacecraft. Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2001 because he wanted to find a way to take people to Mars!
Tesla is an electric vehicle and clean energy company that makes electric vehicles.
The Starhopper
The Starhopper is a rocket that’s part of the spaceship program. It is a reusable rocket, which means that it can be launched again and again. Rockets right now can only be used once, since they destruct when they land. Musk wants to change that – so a cost is saved. Starhopper will become part of a spaceship that will take 100 people to colonize Mars.
The Starhopper had its first, successful launch on August 19, 2019. It not only put the company in a high position making it a bunch of profit but also it boosted our dreams to travel in a spaceship.
