This fascinating book is one of the books from the series ‘Famous Five’ written by Enid Blyton. The book/series is about the five teenagers-Dick, Julian, Anne, George(Georgina) and her dog- Timmy. These active teenagers go on adventures and solve mysteries! But this time something was different, they just wanted to have a nice and quiet camping trip near Faynights Castle, a place where many royal families had lived before, which was now in ruins. But alas! They get a very interesting case there, in the Faynights Castle itself and as you would expect, they got to work immediately!

The case started when the boys (Dick and Julian) saw a weird and tired face at one of the castle’s windows. Just like the face of the missing scientist, Terri Kane. The children got curious as there was no way for anybody to reach up there as the stairs that led up were in ruins!! Later circus people arrive on the camping grounds. The ‘five’ quite like the circus and try to become their friends but the circus folks show no liking for the lively young teenagers. As they try to solve the mystery the circus folks keep getting in the way. This is one of the most exciting mysteries they have ever faced!

friends with the five, this is quite a surprise!!!!!!!

People who have read the Secret seven, Harriet the Spy and other mystery books would love this book! If you have not read mystery books before then go on, try something new! You can read this book and the ones I mentioned above. The author has described the setting amazingly even in places like the cozy caravan and the horrifyingly, mysterious castle.
