For ages 6 to 12

The author of the book is Roald Dahl. The book is about a 3 year old girl, Matilda, who learns to read on her own. She finishes the huge collection of books at the public library by the time she is four years old. The author’s style of narration makes the story extremely interesting as it helps us visualise and experience the story.

Matilda is one of my favourite books. It is also adapted into a fantasy-comedy movie. I loved the book because of its sense of humour. In the book, Matilda tricks her beastly parents who hate her love for books. She has a great time giving them what they deserved.

Matilda joins school when she is five and she is agonied by the headmistress, Miss. Trunchbull. She has a great class teacher named Ms.Honey who saves Matilda several times from Ms.Trunchbull. I think the book is a mix of many genres. You would really like the book if you like tricks and jokes.

Roald Dahl has explained the book descriptively, though I think the book could have had a small mystery in the end to make the book a little more interesting. Roahl Dahl wants children to know that they are not weak and they can also accomplish many things in life. The book is great, I recommend it to all readers between the ages 6 to 12!
