This deadly pandemic
This virus that’s killing
This outrageous spread,
This ‘six feet apart’
Stay away from each other
We’re locked inside
Caving into ourselves
But it’s helped you
Gaia. Terra. Earth.
There is no chaos
You’re doing okay
Better than you were,
Your grass is greener, air is cleaner, sky is bluer.
You’re healthier than you have been in so long
Can you remember when last you could breathe the air without it burning your lungs
Do you remember when last was the sky here so blue
We tried to help in the past
But it seems we are better off out of the picture
Is this our punishment?
For being so cruel
A small price to pay?
For being so ignorant
When next do you think Mother Earth will the sun set on a grateful universe?
