Lady Midnight. How do I explain, this world of ashes and shadows? A world of hunters keeping us safe from the unknown dangers of the world. Well, I have to try, and it should not be that hard, for Cassandra’s writing can draw a picture in anyone’s mind.

For years Emma Carstairs has believed that her parents were not victims of the dark war but in fact dead to reasons of dark magic. For years Emma has tried to get any evidence in order to prove her belief right and take her revenge on the murderer. But Emma has learned that life is not as simple as that, and that the world of shadows is not done with her. With the return of the Blackthorns long lost brother, part faerie Mark Blackthorn, the news that a murderer is on the loose, and the world becoming painfully clear to Emma, It seems that the only good thing that has happened is that she has a newfound friend, Christina Rosales. Can Christina help Emma, while battling with her own reasons for running away from her past? Clashing with her newfound, puzzling emotions for her Parabhatai, Julian Blackthorn, Emma must strive to keep her oath to the Angels, the reason she is a Shadowhunter, and keep mundanes safe from dark magic that the world has never seen before………

Now, of course, you should only read this book after reading the mind-blowing series of six books known as ‘The Mortal Instruments’, and ‘The Infernal Devices’ too. So welcome to the shadow world, and plunge yourself in this world beyond your wildest dreams.
