My Longing, My Desire

Composed by Shruthi Chandrasekar, a grade 5 student

Little monsters, here and there,
They’re floating around, everywhere!

Composed by Shruthi Chandrasekar, a grade 5 student

Little monsters, here and there,
They’re floating around, everywhere!

‘Cause of them, I’m stuck at home,
I cannot even pick up a stone,
Or climb, or jump, or run about,
Or have a silly wrestling bout!

Oh, my friends, I miss them so,
Back to school, I want to go.
It is very terrible, you know?
Not to see the friendship grow.

I have to sit for hours on end,
Not even giving my back a bend.
I hope these germs all get crushed,
So back to school, we’ll go in a rush,

The children will be full of glee,
We’ll be joyful, you and me!
